Jesus, I dedicate this child to you. This is your child, and yours alone. You’ve simply entrusted me to be this child’s earthly mother, but you are her Father, and one true eternal parent. Thank you for the honor and privilege of parenting one of your children. I pray that this child walks in your favor and loves you all the days of her life. I pray that she’s healthy, strong, a woman of God, a leader, and grows in wisdom and stature. I pray that she loves you more than us, and more than anything of this world. I pray that you make yourself real to her at an early age, as you did for me.
Thank you, Jesus, for this miracle child of yours. Thank you for allowing me to carry, birth, nurture and feed her, love her, and ultimately, for the responsibility of teaching her about you and your never-ending love. I can’t explain how I know she’s coming, but you’ve promised me, Lord, and you never go back on your Word and your promises. Your love endures forever.
Your ways are better than mine, your thoughts are better than mine. Your plan is better than mine. Thank you, Jesus, for a peace that only comes from you. A peace that’s indescribable and resonates deep into my soul.
You have healed me and are creating a miracle just as you did for my mom over 32 years ago. You are no respecter of persons, and love me and know the desires of my heart. You have placed these desires in my heart for a reason, Father, and I fully expect and patiently wait for them to be fulfilled.
Thank you, Jesus, that this pregnancy brings honor and glory to you, and you alone. Not to medication or doctors, but to the Great Physician, which is You, Lord. Thank you that at the end of all of this, it’s always been about You, and showing us how much you care for us, love us and know us better than we know ourselves. Thank you for knowing what’s best for us, and protecting us from anything less than your best.
I love you so much, Lord. I give this pregnancy to you, this future child to you, and I know that I have no control over any of this, and that you are sovereign.
Thank you for loving me and dying for me before I even knew you.
You get the glory and honor for all things.
