“And I will be a Father to you and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
– 2 Corinthians 6:18
We are in the midst of a season where we celebrate all the significant men in our lives. Whether this Father’s Day brings smiles and laughter or tears of remembrance, we invite you to take some time and reflect on all the ways every father or “father figure” in your life has shaped you. Every one of them was meant to be the extension of our one true God while here on earth.
Some may have missed the mark completely while some might have hit the nail on the head. Either way, take a moment to read over some of the Fatherly ways of God and reflect on how these things shine through the special men in your life today. Our goal is not to highlight anyone’s shortcomings. It is to remember that it is from the Love of God that all these things come to us. In the places where there may be a void, we invite you to see with fresh eyes how God is the only one we can rely on to meet these needs. We love you, and we’re praying for your heart today!
He is our Protector
The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. – 2 Thessalonians 3:3
He is our Provider
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life…Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more valuable than they?” – Matthew 6: 25-26
He gives us Direction
“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” – Isaiah 30:21
He will ALWAYS be there for You
“Do not fear for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10
He Deeply Loves You
“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.” –Ephesians 1:4-7
