“Every giant will fall” by Rend Collective…King Jesus is the name that breaks every chain. There’s no higher name…mountains will move, every chain of the past broken in two…nothing is impossible with you.
This morning these were just a few of the lyrics from a song that kept resonating in the deepest parts of my heart. They were reminders of a battle I fought just a few short years ago when God moved a mountain called cancer in my life.
Goliath, in the Bible, had a proven reputation: He was huge, a warrior since youth and had never lost a battle. His name struck fear in the hearts of the mightiest of men.
We have goliath’s in our lives that taunt us with their proven reputations. Fear tries to grip our hearts and paralyze us. My question to you today is, “What is striking fear in your heart today?”. Is it your finances, bankruptcy, failure, physical, mental or emotional abuse, divorce, sickness, cancer, heart disease? Satan knows exactly how to intimidate you.
The more you look at those goliath’s, the louder they shout. Satan wants to kill us. He is evil and John 10:10 tell us he has come to steal, kill and destroy us. He wants us distracted and focused on anything and everything but God so he can take us down.
You see, my God owns cattle on a thousand hills, He is the king of kings and lord of lords, the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. He is all powerful and all knowing. Our God has a mighty reputation! He has called us to be more than conquerors through Christ. No matter what we face, we can do all things through Christ.
Exodus 15:11 “Who is like you among the gods, Oh Lord? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in praises working miracles?”
My goliath & my victory.
Over 8 years ago I was battling with Stage 3 Colon Cancer… Cancer was my goliath. I made a bold decision to declare war on cancer. My anthem scripture was Psalm 118:17, “I will not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.” I kept my eyes laser focused on God, not cancer…at times it was minute by minute and the hardest battle of my life but God came through.
Satan lost the battle. God was magnified in the ashes of defeat. Nothing is impossible with Him!
If we keep our mouths shut during difficult times, we will be defeated. We must face our goliath’s head on. Run toward your goliath with your mouth open declaring the goodness and faithfulness of God. That is a battle plan for success and victory. Declare His Name above all names. His name causes the forces of hell to tremble!
David, with his simple slingshot and a mouth full of confidence, ran toward Goliath. He declared war on Goliath. And Goliath fell!
My friend, I’m believing with you today for victory in every circumstance, every battle and every goliath you are facing. Let’s join together and win.
